Red Hook Thrift Shop

Directions to Sign Up

Every Friday and Saturday on the calendar there is a "Thrift Store Volunteers link" Click that and it will open up to a new page containing several links. The last link says "Event invitation", click this and it will open to a signup form for the shifts available that day. Usually you can sign up for any given shift about a month in advance.

Our Thrift shop stocks a variety of lightly used clothes, shoes, accessories and household items all very reasonably priced.  100% of funds raised go to help support Christ Church and local community groups and outreach - (see below.)  We make regular donations to charities, homeless shelters, Animal Shelters and can supply victims of house fires or homelessness with a startup kit to get them going again free of charge.

The Red Hook Thrift Shop relies soley on donations brought to us from the local community.  We do not collect in orange clothing bins placed outside the community and resale those donated clothes for profit. As a non-profit organization, the Red Hook Thrift Shop not only provides a useful service for everyone in the community regardless of race, religious belief, identity or orientation but we use the income generated to further support the community we live in. Please bring any clothes you wish to donate to us at the Thrift Shop during our opening hours. Our Facebook page is always updated with items we particularly need.

If you are a drama group that needs props, a victim of homelessness from flood or fire and need something to eat off or sleep on immediately, know someone in real need who perhaps needs some help with clothing, represent a vunerable group who needs a secure private shopping time -  please feel free to contact us - we want to help if we can, and we will.

The NEW Red Hook Thrift Shop is now bigger and better than ever, with a new, open and spacious look, new clothing lines and other items - including eggs from pasture raised Red Hook chickens! We now take all major credit cards, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. We have totally revamped our store in January 2021 for a new start and a fresh look.

If it's been a while since you visited, you must come along and have another look - we think you'll be amazed - and with new more exciting things coming soon, we think you'll love the new store.

Visit and like our Red Hook Thrift Shop Facebook page @RHthrift here: Red Hook Thrift Shop on Facebook

If you like and follow the page, you'll be the first to know about sales, new lines and services, special offers and online sales of collectibles and items not on display in the shop.

Feel free to pay us a visit during the following opening hours:

Friday 2pm - 6pm

Saturday: 10am - 6pm

Volunteers are always needed to help run our thrift Shop.  If you have an hour or two to spare you can sign up here.  It's voluntary, but the satisfaction is immense - and if you need the hours towards honors society or community service then we will be happy to sign you off!

Students are particularly welcome to work in our store - please apply in person at the Thrift Shop or sends us an email to christchurchofredhook@gmail.com.
