We have Called a priest!

The Search committee has ended it's search!

Christ Church has called Brother Randy Greve to be Christ Church's new priest In Charge.  After an extensive interview with Randy, the search committee unanimously recommended brother Randy to the Vestry to interview for calling.  We felt that Randy could help us in the next stage of development and Christ Church and he has a particular set of skills with Youth Education.  Now that the vestry has also interviewed and agreed with the decision, please welcome Brother Randy as our new Vicar.  On behalf of the Search Commitee, I wish to thank you all for your patience and trust, but also for the committeee themselves for their hard work, representation across the congregation and their diligent hard work.  Thank you all,

Vestry Meeting update

Damien met with the vestry today and gave them an update on the process and where we were.  Essentially we are waiting now for publication by the diocese and then the applications to come in.  Two potential candidates have expressed an interest in the position already, both of whom have come to the church on an exploratory basis ;)

The search committee chair has had a telephone interview with one of these candidates and will be meeting with them soon.

Position Description Outline Finished

The committee finished the final draft of the position description outline and sent it in to the diocese to review - and if there are no objections, that now becomes the basis for advertising the position. There will be a newsletter appearing in the narthex on Sundays giving some details about the PDO, but for more specific questions please see a member of the committee.
